Each tube is permanently marked with a globally unique 2D barcode, ensuring that tubes are able to be identified when being moved, shipped or even accidentally dropped.

Automated Sample Tracking
Simply scan Matrix 2D barcoded storage tubes with a Thermo Scientific VisionMate® reader and you can easily import data for a specific sample, (examples include tare weight, sample data, sample contents, source, expiration date or concentration) into any database or spreadsheet. Entire racks can also be scanned to search for a particular tube or to quickly identify samples being shipped to or arriving from different locations.
Permanent, Unique Code
Each code is laser-etched and permanently adhered to the bottom of each tube by our patented process and is chemically and abrasion resistant. We also guarantee we will never produce the same code number twice, ensuring every code number you receive is globally unique.
1.4 ml storage tubes are also available with a human readable code in addition to the 2D barcode for manual identification.

Like our blank and alphanumeric tubes, Matrix 2D barcoded storage tubes are available in the unique Latch Rack that securely protects your samples during low-temperature storage, shipping and accidental drops.
Low-Profile Storage
Our Latch Racks are sized to three different tube heights so you don't waste space if you need to store small volumes. Our 500& micro;l 2D barcoded storage tubes are exactly half the height of our standard 1.4 ml storage tubes so you can double your sample capacity in current storage systems.

Every 2D barcode is leak tested to ensure sample security. In addition, every tube is read before leaving our factory to ensure readability.
