Secure Sample Tracking
A unique, laser etched 2D barcode is encapsulated onto the
base of every Thermo Scientific Abgene 2D
barcoded storage tube to securely identify
and track samples, with code protection even in the harshest of laboratory conditions. The Thermo Scientific line of 2D barcode readers instantly decodes each
tube's 2D barcode; scan the tube into any
application or database, or integrate via
various data export options-the choice is yours. Once
sample data is stored, just scan the tube using
the database "find" feature to instantly access
sample information and identify the contents
of each storage tube.

Enhanced Rack Design
Abgene 2D
barcoded storage tubes are available in our
specially-designed, stackable, microplatefootprint
racks to save precious space in your
freezer, refrigerator, compound store or on the
bench top. Optional stackable racks without
lids facilitate automated liquid handling,
eliminating robotic picking and placing of lids.

Superior Sample Protection
Several
sealing options are available, both preinstalled
or in bulk for fitting at the bench,
including pierceable cap designs, such as
Thermo Scientific Abgene SmartCap Mats
and the Thermo Scientific Matrix SepraSeal
capping system. For applications involving
repetitive sample access, maintain sample
integrity with Thermo Scientific Abgene
Multisip Plugs and Thermo Scientific Matrix
DuraSeal caps. With the Thermo Scientific
Multisip Applicator or Thermo Scientific
SuperSealer ensure sealing is secure and
consistent every time.

Additional Tracking Security
Abgene 2D barcoded tubes are also available with an optional Grid-Referenced (A1-H12) alphanumeric identifier assigned to each tube. This not only ensures that each tube is easily returned to the right location in each rack, but also allows for quick visual identification on the bench.

Robotic Friendly Design
Stackable racks without lids facilitate automated liquid handling,
eliminating robotic picking and placing of lids. Coupled with features such as a tapered lead-in on each rack and rounded end caps on each tube, ensure reliable handling in almost any robotic or automated sample storage environment. In addition, tubes are fully supported in racks that can withstand high forces associated with robotic tube piercing.

Stringent Quality Control
Every 2D
barcoded storage tube is scanned to ensure
readability and each code is checked to
ensure zero duplicates across the entire line
of Abgene 2D barcoded storage tubes. In
addition, each lot of storage tubes is leak
tested to ensure the integrity and security of
samples.
