Introducing BioRobotics MicroSpot 10K Quill Microarray Pins |
 |
Apogent Discoveries has just added a new microarray pin to its line of BioRobotics MicroSpot pins. The new 10K pins are designed for use on the MicroGrid and allow the user to spot dense microarrays. Equipped with the MicroSpot 10K pins the MicroGrid arrayer from BioRobotics can easily spot 100,000 features onto a single glass slide without comprising spot quality.
With the same laser cut tungsten construction as the MicroSpot 2500 pins and a sample uptake of approximately 50nl, MicroSpot 10K pins deliver a typical spot diameter of 80µm, saving precious sample and minimizing waste.
Every MicroSpot pin is tested using rigid quality control procedures for number of spots per fill, spot size and spot shape, they are then size batched to +/- 10µm. Additionally MicroSpot pins have undergone extensive durability testing in the BioRobotics QC laboratory. The pins have held up to over 1.5 million print hits against a glass slide with no detectable deformation to tip or degradation of spot morphology.
