Apogent Discoveries Introduces the ez-rays PlateArray™ |
|
Apogent Discoveries has just added a new 96-well glass bottom microplate (standard SBS footprint) to its line of microarraying disposables. The glass bottom of the PlateArray features the same microarray quality glass and high performance ez-rays™ oligo coating found in the premium array slide product. The upper structure is made of black polystyrene to minimize reflection artifacts during imaging.
The ez-rays oligo surface provides high signal intensity, low background and excellent reproducibility for high quality oligo microarray fabrication. The ez-rays oligo attachment technology utilizes a proprietary three-dimensional coating and the unique properties of Acrydite™-modified oligonucleotides to achieve a robust covalent binding of the probes to the surface. The stable covalent attachment of the modified oligonucleotiedes offers outstanding microarray performance.
Arrays of up to 300 spots can easily be printed in each well of the PlateArray with the Agogent Discoveries MicroGrid™ spotter and PlateArray adapter trays. The MicroGrid can hold 16 PlateArray plates per run. The 1 mm thick microarray quality glass bottom offers a flat, distortion-free surface for optimal imaging results from each well of the plate.
