Molding Perfection
Producing quality labware requires tight molding tolerances, rigorous maintenance schedules and highly polished molds to create a tip with low retention. Our manufacturing and QC specifications are so tight, our standard tips rival special “low retention” tips currently on the market after pipetting fluids such as dH2O, 50% Glycerol, Hybridized Buffer and 0.1% SDS.
Sealing Rings
Matrix pipettes and pipette tips are designed together to ensure that a perfect balance exists between security of the seal and ease of application/ejection. Sealing rings minimize the total contact area between tip and tip fitting, and compress upon tip application guaranteeing a leak-free seal with minimal application and ejection force. Because these sealing rings compress, our tips also offer a leak-free seal on most other pipettes on the market.
Flo-Thru® Racks
Matrix pipette tips are supplied in the innovative Flo-Thru rack that individually supports tips to prevent them from wobbling around when trying to seat them on the pipette. A rigid design also ensures the rack will not flex or bend when trying to apply tips. These racks also feature venting along the edge or around each tip to improve heat flow during autoclaving and reduce condensation that can form on the tips. The dual position lid can be propped open to prevent vacuum deformation during autoclaving.
Packaging Innovation
Our sterile tip racks are sold in individual bags with quick-tear openings to ensure each rack remains sterile until you are ready to use it. Simply snap and pull to open the bag; no more fumbling for a razor blade to slice open shrink-wrap.
Each rack also has pertinent product details that remain on the rack at all times including re-ordering information, product description, volume range and lot number.
Environmentally Sensitive
Our tip racks are manufactured from clean recycled materials generated during tip manufacturing and are made as small as possible to reduce waste. All components of each rack are also marked with the appropriate symbol to simplify and encourage recycling.
